Joe Hart to make Manchester City farewell as £17m deal nears completion
Joe Hart could be recalled to Manchester City’s starting line-up to face Steaua Bucharest, but Pep Guardiola refused to disclose whether it would be his last appearance for the club.

Meanwhile, following Joe Hart’s exclusion from the three first EPL games of the season, the England number one could be on his way out.
Confirmation of that deal would appear to push former number one Joe Hart closer to the exit door, although fresh reports from The Mail on Tuesday (23 August) suggest that lead suitors Everton have now withdrawn their interest due to £135,000-per-week wages that would see them pay approximately £7m just to take the England global on a season-long loan.
The Spaniard said Hart had “a chance” of being selected, and rubbished suggestions he and the England global had fallen out.
“But I have a lot of respect for the opponent and I know what happens in football”. I will keep working, whenever I get my chance I will do my best for the team, work with the team.
“Yes, he has a chance to play tomorrow”.
The 106-capped Chile global, 33, is four years older than Hart and five inches shorter and most experts in the game regard him as no better shot stopper.
Guardiola needs a ball-playing sweeper keeper and added, “I spoke with Joe from the first moment we met in China”.
Apart from Hart, young striker Kelechi Iheanacho, Fabian Delph, Fernando and Alex Garcia could also start tonight as Guardiola rotates his squad.
Guardiola confirmed Bravo’s imminent arrival when asked about Bravo at a news conference on Tuesday, saying: “I can not deny what everyone knows”. It’s not pressure for me to play alongside him.
“He is always ready”, Guardiola said of Iheanacho, according to UK Telegraph.
The City manager has made an impressive start to the new campaign despite being without injured captain Vincent Kompany and pre-season signings Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sane, although he expects the trio to be available for the Manchester derby on 10 September.
After Pep Guardiola’s team followed-up their destruction of Steaua last midweek bythumping Stoke City 1-4 at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday and the Citizens are now three wins from three games under their new coach. We all know there is a bit of a situation going on but I feel that outside of the circus we are handling it well, as a good team with a good management staff. That’s why I tried to insist to the players how important it is.
