Joe Hart trains with Torino for the first time

Manchester United FA Cup victor Kevin Moran believes Manchester City fans are happy to see Joe Hart gone.

Hart has joined Torino on a season-long loan. City then moved to bring in Claudio Bravo from Barcelona, seemingly relegating Hart to third choice before he made the switch to Turin.

After failing to attract potential suitors this window when seeking a loan move due to the goalkeeper’s expensive wages, City (who will owe Hart £17.8m for the early termination of his three-year contract) will bankroll his wages for the upcoming twelve months before addressing a severance package.

And if clubs are aware Hart is available for such a small sum next summer, then you sense there will more illustrious interest in the player.

“A lot of City fans of my acquaintance wanted Hart out of the club over the last few weeks”.

Torino will feel as though getting the England man on board for the upcoming term is a significant coup, although they’ll likely face much stiffer competition if they’re to recruit him permanently in 2017. Bravo is one of the best in the world both with his hands and his feet, and will certainly add plenty of quality to that position once he’s able to play. As much as this very likely signals the end of Joe Hart’s career at Manchester City, where he is deeply loved and deemed to be a legend, this also allows him to reignite his career and start a new chapter at a different club.

However, Reina – who worked under Guardiola at Bayern Munich – insists Hart is still a “top-class” goalkeeper.

Hart is expected to make his Torino debut away at Atalanta this Sunday. At 29 years of age, which is relatively young for goalkeepers and having amassed 348 and 64 appearances for City and England respectively, Hart’s career as a top goalkeeper is far from over.
