Joe Manganiello is Deathstroke in Ben Affleck’s Batman movie
Was that Manganiello underneath Deathstroke’s helmet?

If you had actor Joe Manganiello pegged as the DC Universe’s premiere assassin, give yourself a pat on the back.
A couple of weeks ago, Ben Affleck dropped a rather interesting surprise for DC fans when he shared some footage of Slade Wilson – a.k.a. Deathstroke, with a report then emerging that the mercenary would be the main villain in Affleck’s solo Batman movie.
DC Entertainment president and chief creative officer Geoff Johns confirmed the casting in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. He looks a little slimmer than I’d expect Manganiello to look in that armor, but I suppose it’s likely.
Manganiello is most famous for his roles in True Blood and Magic Mike. But he’s appeared in numerous American TV shows, including “ER”, “How I Met Your Mother” and “One Tree Hill”. He’s also no stranger to comic book movies, having portrayed Flash Thompson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy.
But now he’s taking on a much darker role.
Affleck is slated to direct the film and has co-written the script alongside Johns. Parallels have been established between him and Batman, and he has a deep-seated grudge against Green Arrow.
On Aug. 29, Affleck posted a cryptic tweet of Deathstroke walking ominously toward the camera, which set of a frenzy of speculation.

Johns refuses to spill the beans on whether Deathstroke will make a cameo in the upcoming Justice League movie, which is now being shot in London.
