Joel Embiid scheduled for surgery Tuesday
A report claims that Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid will have an operation on his right foot on Tuesday which could rule him out of next season. The No. 3 overall pick from Kansas has yet to play a game since being drafted in 2014.

After some delay, it was finally reported on Saturday that Embiid will undergo surgery on Tuesday. Which was expected. A stress fracture in the navicular bone of his right foot kept Embiid out for all of last season as well. Embiid himself is not having second thoughts about the surgery, presumably he wants to get this chapter of his career over with so he can turn a new, healthier page.
The same fans who have exhibited patience with Sam Hinkie and “the process”.

If the surgery is successful, Embiid is expected to be ready for training camp before the 2016-17 season. If anything, I would think that would bother me as a fan more than the fact that the team is still telling me to be patient as they continue to tank year after year.
