Nancy Cook, whose children grew up with Joey Feek, tells WISH-TV that she and her son have spread signs expressing support for Feek along State Road 28; when Cook looks at the signs, “I pray for a miracle or what’s God’s will”. “That her time here was done and she was going to go to sleep soon”.

Since shortly after receiving her terminal cancer diagnosis in October, Joey Feek, her husband Rory and their daughter in left their home in Tennessee and have been living in her hometown of Alexandria, Ind., to be closer to her loved ones.

Rory said he went through pictures over the weekend and let them take him back to when they first met. He also came across a song they recorded a few years ago, but never made it onto an album.

We continue to pray for Joey and her family during this hard time.

As Joey Feek’s loved ones try to deal with the reality that her days on Earth may be few, Rory is content with the fact that his wife led a full and happy life.

Since saying her goodbyes, Joey has been in a deep sleep, Rory says.

In a post shared to his blog, This Life I Live, Feek revealed that his wife has been asleep for many days, and her body is beginning to shut down. He is extremely proud of everything she has accomplished in the “40 short years” that she has lived. And then she asked me to bring our baby in. Our prayers go out to the Feek family during this heartbreaking time. “And so… I set our little Indy on Joey’s lap and we all cried with my wife as she told her how much her mama loved her”.

Here are Joey’s final words, as told by Rory: “I have no regrets…I can honestly say that, that I have done everything I wanted to do and lived the life I always wanted to live”. He said both he and his wife are “at peace with where she is and where she’s going”.
