Joey Logano: Wins IRWIN Tools Night Race
If the tide and momentum starts going our way, we can knock two or three wins off in a row. By no means is his spot locked up now, but it goes a long way, and if he can just have a decent finish in the final two races before “The Chase” begins, he will have a chance to compete for a Sprint Cup Championship.

“All in all, just really proud of my team”, he said. We can win at any type of racetrack, whether I like it or don’t like it, whether we’ve been good or not been good in the past. Then Logano, worked his way up and led 150+ laps on the night to get the win.
Kyle Busch (18) leads Denny Hamlin (11), Kyle Larson (42) and Joey Logano (22) during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series auto race, Saturday, August 22, 2015, in Bristol, Tenn.
Harvick finished second for the 10th time this season. Then Busch won Friday night’s Xfinity series race.
Edwards had to pit under green a few laps later for a cut right-front tire, handing the lead back to Logano. Overall we had a great auto. “It’s all about being able to overcome things, being able to be persistent and consistent, and we have the speed to win”.
Matt Kenseth, who had won two of three races, didn’t finish this one after his engine blew on Lap 111.
Kenseth said the engine gave him no warning that it was about to expire.
“They never warn you, it would be cool if they would send you a text or something”, Kenseth said. “Just the middle of the straightaway it made that pop where you knew that was it”.
With a fast Rodney Childers-prepared Chevrolet under him, Harvick was forced to overcome two pit-road penalties, one for crew members jumping over the wall too soon and another for speeding while entering the pits. Asked if had expected to see JGR and Toyota celebrating once again, he noted that practicing in the day at Bristol doesn’t always translate to the night race. “No. But I thought it was probable”. He took the lead from Busch on Lap 225, becoming the first non-Joe Gibbs Racing driver to lead the race.
Both were running in the top-five on a restart when Jimmie Johnson pinched Ragan. That was the story for David Ragan on Saturday, as he accidentally got into the back of Kurt Busch on the track. Ragan spun and hit the inside wall; he needed extensive repairs.
Bowyer rallied to finish fifth.

Clint Bowyer is clinging onto the final spot in “The Chase”.
