Both John, 58, and Lisa Robinson confirmed that they plan on continuing to work at their jobs. They live in Munford, Tennessee, and they have a long-lost cousin, if anybody asks.

The cycle will start again on Saturday night when the next Powerball drawing will have an estimated jackpot of $US40 million. “I don’t want it now”, she said. So far lottery officials said that hasn’t happened. The couple said that they would drive back to Tennessee to cash in their ticket immediately after the interview. Rechnitz’s spokesperson said the nurse was given a ticket by her boss, who bought 18,000 tickets for his employees and residents at 80 nursing home across California. He said didn’t want to, but he did anyway.
Mr Robinson said that although he was unwell, he bought the ticket at a local grocery store at the request of his wife on Wednesday night, just hours before the draw.
He said he wasn’t feeling well when he arrived at home.
“Check these numbers!” she recalled telling him after she woke him up.
Robinson, alongside his wife, Lisa and daughter, Tiffany appeared on the show and told reporters the family had not yet alerted lottery officials.
He’s now an admitted believer.
Naifeh said they initially felt they’d received “the short end of the stick” but felt better once they learned why they get lower payouts than sellers in other states. “How long ya gonna last?”
And even though she now has millions of dollars coming her way, Lisa said she still plans to go to work on Monday. The would also like to splurge on family members too. The family’s attorney stood nearby the them.
“When we bought the tickets, our first priority was to pay her student loans”, John said.
NBC was somewhat skeptical of the Robinson’s claim because they had yet to report their win to the Tennessee lottery commission.
The identity of the California victor has not been made public. The chances of winning were 1 in 292.2 million, and there were 635,103,137 total tickets sold. Winners can take the winnings in annual payments spread over decades or a smaller amount in a lump sum.
Two other winning tickets were sold separately at a 7-Eleven in Chino Hills, California, and a Publix in Melbourne, Florida.
