FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) – Former House Speaker John Boehner unloaded on Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz during a talk to college students, calling the Texas senator “Lucifer in the flesh”.

“The interesting thing is I’ve never worked with John Boehner, I don’t know the man”, Cruz said.
Boehner also revealed he’s played golf with GOP front-runner Donald Trump, describing them as “texting buddies”.
Boehner said he would not vote for Cruz if the Texas Senator were to capture the nomination, which is unlikely given Trump’s big lead in the delegate count.

President Ronald Reagan once uttered his famous Eleventh Commandment saying, “Thou shalt not speak ill of any Republican”, and, after last night, John Boehner has some repenting to do. He shot back Thursday, calling Trump part of the Washington establishment for his close ties to Boehner.

Later commenting on the remark, Rep. Peter King (R-Seaford) told Newsday that Cruz “gives Lucifer a bad name” and that Boehner’s characterization “shows there’s a unique dislike for Cruz”. ‘Good to see you, Mr. Speaker.’ I’ve never had any substantive conversations with John Boehner in any respect.
“What Boehner is angry with me for is standing with the American people, is energizing and encouraging House conservatives to stand with the American people and actually honor the commitments we have made”, he said.
When it came to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Boehner warned that there may be surprises ahead if the email scandal that Republicans have been looking into for months becomes a larger scandal, according to the Stanford Daily. “There will be a contested convention”, Cruz said on Fox News’ “The Kelly File”.
