John Boyega says ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ will be ‘much darker’
Williams was given the nod once more Thursday for Star Wars: The Force Awakens; he scored all seven films in the series. Director J.J. Abrams hinted that answers could be on the way in the next installment, “Star Wars: Episode VIII”.

But while the film is being lauded as a throwback to the original trilogy, cleansing the bitterness of the prequels from our Star Wars palette, it turns out that it has more in common with those movies than we thought.
Trevorrow’s response seems to tease an “Episode IX” reveal for Rey’s history instead of Episode “VIII”.
Oswalt also said he tried to share his passion for the franchise with his six-year-old daughter, who’s “into “My Little Pony” the way I was into “Star Wars” back in 1977″.
At the same time, though, J.J. Abrams went from making Into Darkness, a movie that I still get angry over when I think of Alice Eve’s nudity scene, to giving us Rey in The Force Awakens.
This is also interesting: Kylo Ren’s mask wasn’t always present and in some scenes was totally a digital reproduction. “Those kind of stories are frankly infinitely more impactful and gratifying than the numbers, which are wonderful and I’m very grateful everyone went to see the film, but it’s most exciting to hear that people actually went and had an experience”.
What strikes us most when watching the 10-minute reel full of green screens and computer-generated spaceships, is just how many practical effects are revealed, where scenes were physically produced without any post-production gimmickry. When asked about the script, Boyega said it was “great” and “much darker” than Episode VII was.
Furthermore, Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber will now be included for Rey as a bonus accessory!
Addressing Grunberg’s comments on “Episode VIII” further, Abrams adds, “I am very much excited for and very jealous of anyone, especially Rian, who gets to work so close to this extraordinary cast and crew – truly an fantastic group”.

Steve Sansweet, president of the “Star Wars” memorabilia museum Rancho Obi-Wan near Petaluma, California, says Disney, Lucasfilm and the retailers are still adapting to the fact that “Star Wars” isn’t primarily a boy’s brand like before.
