John Boyega says Star Wars: Episode VIII will be ‘much darker’
The #WheresRey movement, where Star Wars toy fans have been concerned about a perceived lack of toys featuring Rey, the star of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has had some good points.

One of the things that relieved “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” star John Boyega after the film was released was that he is finally able to talk about spoilers concerning J.J. Abrams’ masterpiece.
Speculation continues to swirl around the casting process for Rian Johnson’s upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII, with the latest tidbit to emerge seemingly linking Diary Of A Teenage Girl breakout Bel Powley with a key role in Disney’s high-profile sequel.
Last we saw Boyega’s Finn, he was recovering from a traumatic injury dealt by Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren during the climactic battle. In talking with Vogue, Boyega revealed that he didn’t need to do much in terms of working out for “The Force Awakens”, but that might change for the new movie.
A slew of Rebel members are displayed in one of the images for “Star Wars: Rogue One”. “I have lots of people around me who’ve supported and helped me so much and I’m very fortunate that Rob has been one of them”.
Episode VIII does not have an official title just yet, but we’re sure more information will be released in 2016.
However, Empire took advantage of some serious storytelling foundations that were laid down by A New Hope, and if Star Wars: Episode VIII can do something similar, there’s every chance that come 2017 we could be looking at a new all time champ. It’s great. Much darker, but we’re very excited.
Boyega’s comments about a darker second instalment echoes the original trilogy, in which “Empire Strikes Back” is considered to be the darkest in the collection given the fact that it purposely doesn’t have a happy ending.
