John Carpenter To Perform Scores For The First Time Live
For the first time ever John Carpenter will be performing his soundtracks and original works live in concert, but it’ll be awfully hard for us Americans to see. For years now, composers of all kinds have been hosting live performances of their favorite work, usually shown alongside with the film during the orchestration.

ATP Iceland is set to run from 1 to 3 July (16).
The album was produced with Carpenter’s son Cory and Daniel Davies, who will both join him on stage during the event in Iceland. They’ll be backed by a full live band, as well as a “spectacular stage production”. A few of his best known scores were written for the movies Dark Star (1974), Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), Halloween (1978), The Fog (1980), Escape from New York (1981), Christine (1983), Starman (1984), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), Prince of Darkness (1987) and They Live (1988).
Barry Hogan at ATP says “We are incredibly honoured to present the first ever show by this legendary filmmaker and composer”.
