“I said, ‘You are not really good at this game, but no offense, ‘ the youngster told Cena”.
WWE superstar John Cena was featured on ESPN’s SportsCenter reaching out to a seven-year-old boy with kidney disease on July 21.
“He’s my only child”, said KJ’s mother.
KJ takes medicine daily so his body won’t reject the transplant, but he’s not a fan of having to take his medications. They are flown to Washington D.C. where KJ meets Stephanie McMahon, Cena (who gives him an autographed US title), Big Show, Cesaro, Luke Harper, Bad News Barrett and others. First, WWE wrestler Triple H surprised KJ and his mom at the movies with a special video message from Cena himself. As a matter of fact, Cena even elaborated on what he might like to do when his career in the ring does come to a close. I have zero experience in that field and truly I’m learning as I go and never once did they make me feel out of place or as if I was holding up production or anything like that.
As part of Entertainment Weekly’s video series, celebrities share a glimpse into their personal lives with their “greatest story ever told”.
KJ will need another transplant in 20 years.
