John Deere to sponsor PGA event in Quad Cities through 2023
PGA golfer Jordan Spieth answers questions during a news conference…

Spieth says he’ll have plenty of rest and energy for the British Open.
The tournament typically has a somewhat underwhelming field, but two-time 2015 major victor Jordan Spieth maintained his commitment to the event which he won in 2013, elevating the status of this week’s event. “I probably wouldn’t be here”.
This event began life back in 1971 as the Quad Cities Open.
One year after playing the JDC at just 18 on a sponsor’s exemption, Spieth forced his way into a three-way playoff by holing out from the 18th-hole bunker. It was his first top 10 on either the PGA TOUR or the Web.com Tour since the 2013 Quicken Loans National.
Spieth said the only issue he has with skipping Scotland is the 6-hour time difference he’ll have to make up following Sunday’s final round.
“It doesn’t matter where it is”.
“I think that this is a good preparation for me to get good feels, to get in contention, and to find out what’s on and what’s off when I’m in contention”, Spieth said.
As Spieth stands on the brink of perhaps creating more history in the season’s third major, the critics suggest he is mad to give himself so little time to prepare for the challenge ahead in Fife.
Johnson, who grew up in nearby Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and serves on the tournament committee, has shot in the 60s in 24 consecutive rounds at Deere Run. He’s had three victories and eight top-five finishes in his last 13 starts.
Last year’s victor, Brian Harman, and Kevin Kisner should also push Spieth.
Spieth knows that to truly become of the greats of the game, he’ll have to carry over his success for years to come.
Like Finau, he racks up the birdies and eagles as if they are going out of fashion and though his only appearance here was a missed cut back in 2013, I’m expecting Thomas to be galvanized into action and produce a very strong bounce-back showing.

So I am going to put up a couple of outsiders at bigger prices as well, starting with Johnson Wagner.
