John Dickerson Digs Into Archives Ahead of CBS News’ Democratic Debate
According to a November 14 article on NY Times, it’s been reported that CBS News had to rework its plans for tonight’s debate to make it a forum for discussion of issues of terrorism, national security and foreign relations.

Prior to the CNN debate, the campaigns said moderator Anderson Cooper did not reach out directly to them before the candidates took the stage.
Since Jim Webb and Lincoln Chaffee dropped out of the presidential race, there will only be three candidates participating: Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley. In comparison, the Republicans had eight candidates in their debate last Tuesday, which was their fourth, and this Democratic debate is only the second of its type.
CBS news is also going to partner with Twitter on the Democratic debate, with the official hashtag for the event being #DemDebate. It is expected to run two hours. This will mark the first debate on a broadcast network during election season. Those wishing to watch on broadband can do so on CBSN the all news streaming service for CBS.
The increasingly large portion of American TV watchers who no longer have cable or even televisions will be able to watch the debate Saturday night on CBS News’ website or its app. The app is available on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire, Android TV and Microsoft’s gaming console, Xbox One.
TVNewser will live blog the debate-and the media reaction-tomorrow night.
