John Kasich Dropping Out of Presidential Race
Kasich canceled a scheduled press conference Wednesday morning in Washington, D.C., with the campaign saying he would instead make a statement at 5 p.m.in Columbus. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) dropped out in light of Trump’s in victory on Tuesday. While he trails badly in the delegate race, Sanders has suggested that superdelegates – party elders not bound to any candidate at the Democratic convention – should switch their allegiance to back him. He finishes with one state victory, in his home state of OH, and 153 delegates – less than Marco Rubio who ended his campaign in March. “I’m not happy about it. I don’t think he’s the best qualified candidate, I don’t think he’s the one most likely to be successful, but I would vote for him over Hillary Clinton”.

In the Democratic contest, Senator Bernie Sanders rebounded from a string of defeats to prevail in IN over Hillary Clinton, who largely abandoned the state after polls showed her faring poorly with the predominantly white electorate.
“Honestly, there are some people I really don’t want”.
“We’ve got a way to go from here to there”, said Ryan.
The Ohio governor, who briefly ran for president in 1999, initially defied skeptics who doubted whether he could garner enough support to qualify for the first Republican debate in Cleveland in August and whether he’d be able to raise the needed funds to be competitive.
A Clinton win, therefore, would bring even more significance to the Democratic Party. Kasich will announce the end of his underdog White House bid on Wednesday, according to three campaign officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the candidate’s plans. “So, for every one vote that Ted Cruz received, Donald Trump received two”, Graham said. People will be voting for me.
Despite Trump’s claims otherwise, Clinton has consistently led him in head-to-head matchups.
In April, he said there is “zero chance” of becoming vice president, to anyone – specifically Trump – arguing that he’s more of a president, not a vice president. To further its case that Trump is unpalatable to his own party, Team Clinton released a new web video in the afternoon compiling footage of Trump’s former Republican opponents attacking him on the stump and in interviews.
Johnson says his appeal to Cruz or his supporters would be consistent support for smaller, less intrusive government.
The ad showcases just some of what Republicans worry Donald Trump and exemplifies why many think he will have trouble in the general election.
Ed Rollins, who managed President Ronald Reagan’s 1984 re-election and has joined the super PAC as senior adviser, said on the call: “He’s going to need help”.
