John Kasich expects contested convention

Marco Rubio. “But the bottom line is that we need to elect a Republican who shares the values of the Republican Party and that’s not Donald Trump”. “I’m going to win OH”.

GOP front-runner Donald Trump has not release his personal tax records, citing an ongoing IRS audit of his returns dating back a dozen years.

“In my view, a brokered convention ain’t going to happen, and if the Washington deal-makers tried to steal the nomination from the people, I think it would be a disaster”, Cruz told reporters Friday.

So far, Kasich is resisting that below-the-surface pressure and his campaign issued a statement Wednesday afternoon that suggests he intends to stay in the hunt – at least through the mid-March primary in his home state.

Calley cited Kasich’s experience in balancing both the federal budget when he was in Congress and the budget in OH as governor, “and his ability to really work with people”. Rubio, a little more than 100 delegates behind Cruz, needs to win about 64%, and Kasich would need to win 69%.

“Finally the country is getting to know who I am”.

However, time is running out on Kasich’s campaign.

“You don’t want to address why you called Governor Romney’s Obamneycare?” Ted Cruz, Florida Sen.

Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio isn’t tipping his hand on the prospect he’ll get the endorsement of Jeb Bush before the March 15 primary in their home state of Florida.

For Kasich and his team, the Midwest is where they’ll make their last stand. They see a series of states – Michigan, his home state of Ohio, Illinois and Pennsylvania, as places where his fortunes will shift.

Kasich said that in head-to-head polls for the general election, “I beat Hillary Clinton by more than anybody, by 11 points”. “You’re not closing the gap”, said Stephanopoulos.

“You see many Republicans claiming the label of “Reagan conservative” but not many whose leadership truly embodies my father’s principles and spirit”, Reagan said in a statement.

At the event, Fox News Sean Hannity asked Kasich, who is now fourth in the Republican delegate count, to lay out his path to becoming the party’s nominee in July. “The Ohio governor said that Trump has yet to say or do anything that would disqualify him as the nominee”, CNN reported.

Kasich virtually guaranteed a victory in OH, where 66 delegates are at stake, calling the state “the gravitational center of the political universe”. He said he didn’t have a chance to watch Romney’s speech before meeting the media, however, there was a tweet from John Kasich’s Twitter account signed “-John” praising Romney’s remarks.
