The former Terminator star told hundreds of supporters that he has been friends with Kasich since the 1980s when they met in OH during the actor’s body-building expo.

“He kicked some serious butt”, Schwarzenegger said of Kasich, who served in Congress for 18 years. “He was an action hero when he went to Washington”, said Schwarzenegger.

Schwarzenegger, the former California governor, is taking over for Kasich’s rival Donald Trump on the “Celebrity Apprentice” this year. He was also in Columbus for his sports expo and bodybuilding competition, the “Arnold Sports Festival”, which is held in the state annually.

Based on CNN’s delegate estimate after Super Tuesday, Trump needs to win about 52% of all the remaining delegates to clinch the nomination.

Kasich also took a few moments to talk about how he has succeeded despite being ignored by the media.

“We are happy to have Congressman Bishop on the team”, Kasich said.

When it comes to his home state of Ohio, Kasich finds himself in a position similar to the one Rubio is desperately trying to dig himself out of. “It’s going to take a candidate who has produced results”, Weaver said, adding, “Only John Kasich can consolidate the Republican Party and win in November”.

Do you think Arnold Schwarzenegger waited too long to endorse John Kasich or will he give the current underdog a fighting chance?

Kasich has argued emphatically that his ability to win his home state of OH makes him the best candidate for Republicans looking to win the White House.

“Through hard work and dedication, I was successful in body building, in show business, I became governor of the great state of California, I made a lot of money all because of America”. “I have never tried to go and get into these kind of scrums we’re seeing here on the stage”.
