John Lewis Christmas advert 2015
United Kingdom department store John Lewis will release again its annual Christmas Ad. These ads mark for many the beginning of the Christmas season as they set the mood with a Christmas story told in an elaborate way.

The advert launched on the retailer’s social media channels and YouTube earlier today, and will feature on television for the first time this evening.
This year is bound to be no different, with the retailer’s latest epic advert, Man on the Moon.
The advert, which premiered on screens for the first time on Thursday night, featured an adorable young girl named Lily as she strikes up a connection with an elderly man, who she spies through her telescope, living alone on the moon.
This year’s £1 million production was created by the Adam&Eve/DDB agency, and was filmed mostly in Warner Brothers studios in Hertfordshire, rather than in outer space.
And fans of the band have been quick to decide whether the new advert, which features 19-year-old Norwegian singer Aurora performing the Oasis tune, is a Christmas cracker or total turkey. Determined to send him a message that someone cares about him, she sets about flighting, firing and finally floating a letter and Christmas present up to him.
Throughout November and December the retailer will be supporting the charity in various ways, including in store and online activity, and with donations via text and also through the sales of selected Christmas products. It was made to complement Age UK’s campaign: “No one should have no one at Christmas”.
As the man waves from the moon, the ad’s strapline reads: “Show someone theyre loved this Christmas”.
She said John Lewis’ previous offerings have been “very effective”, adding: “It’s about building brand loyalty and enhancing the perception of the brand”.

However, just 23% of those polled aged 18-34 say they plan to spend Christmas with their grandparents and only just under half (48%) of those aged 25-54 say they plan to spend it with their parents.
