John Scott soaking up every minute of National Hockey League all-star fame
“Now, I am more afraid of fighting [enforcer] John Scott during All-Star Game; [he’ll] kill me for sure”.

John Scott sat on his teammates shoulders while fans chanted “M-V-P!”
NASHVILLE-While some league officials may have been wringing their hands about John Scott’s election to the 2016 NHL All-Star Game, it’s clear that his fellow players think he deserves to be among the best in the league. He played for the Arizona Coyotes when he was named an All-Star, but was later stunned by a trade to Montreal, which sent him for its AHL affiliate in Newfoundland.
Scott, 33, said the response he received from The Players’ Tribune article was overwhelmingly positive. “It will be cool for him and his family to look back on it in future years and enjoy this weekend”. We’re getting some stretches in, and passing around my new gloves.
This may not include any white hot St. Louis Blues breaking news(it’s the All Star Break and no Jaden Schwartz isn’t ready yet so shut it), but I have a soft spot for enforcers so bear with me here.
You can bet that Kane and the other players won’t have to line up to get into Tootsies Orchid Lounge.
“Now that I’m here, it’s nice”. We’ll let him play’. My wife is due with twins and we’ve had to relocate. If that happens to unfriendly media reviews, the game could find itself viewed even more as something the National Hockey League could do without. Like previous years, it was up to the fans to vote and select the captains. The NHL makes it a weekend, much like the NBA All-Star Weekend. “It does mean a lot”. In his essay, he wrote that someone with the National Hockey League asked him: “Do you think this is something your kids would be proud of?”.
That was it, right there.
The gall shown by the league representative iss reprehensible, Scott, for all his faults, at least wants to go to Nashville for the game.
Florida forward Jaromir Jagr, captain of the Atlantic Division, skated in his 10th All-Star Game and helped the Atlantic beat the Metropolitan 4-3.
Jagr still doesn’t want to be here: When fan voting for the All-Star Game began, Jagr issued a Twitter plea that fans not vote for him because he is too old and wanted to spend the time resting. They never will be able to return those ungrateful words. “But when you are middle-aged, you become more selfish and think about yourself – and we don’t have those kind of guys”. It wasn’t your right to screw over Scott, a hard working grunt.
Scott called it a quick talk with the commissioner and that he felt Bettman was anxious he would be uncomfortable.
Scott scored twice during the tournament, bringing cheers from fans and smiles from teammates who relished every moment along with the gentle giant and his goofy grin. After days of unrelenting pressure and a PR nightmare, the National Hockey League caved. “I never in a million years would have believed I was at an All-Star Game, the fans would be behind me like that and score two goals in a game”.
“I love the idea of the All-Stars and I think it’s good for our fans, but for me personally, for my age, I know what I need for the rest of the season and maybe in playoffs”. One thing no one can dispute is that he’s been a ideal gentleman considering the circumstances.
Here are the five nicest quotes about Nashville’s newest star.
Scott wrote a story in The Players’ Tribune, explaining his side of the story. But, the game features a Velveeta cheese fountain, celebrity coaches no one has heard of, and most importantly it’s an exhibition game. It’s a completely different game for those guys and I have tremendous respect for anyone who has ever done that.

The NHL All-Star Game is different. For fans to get in touch with players they can relate to. He might have better luck with that than a signed Scott All-Star T-shirt.
