The 51-year-old is charged with a misdemeanor count of driving while under the influence of drugs, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, after concerned onlookers reported his weird behavior and bad driving to police. If convicted, the actor faces six months in jail.
The star’s arraignment is slated for Friday at 8:30 a.m. PT at the Airport Courthouse in Los Angeles.
The case remains under investigation by the Beverly Hills Police Department.
On June 12, Stamos was pulled over for reckless driving in Beverly Hills and later arrested at the hospital for DUI. The charging document does not identify the drug Stamos was allegedly using.
He went to rehab in July and checked out a month later.
Sources told People magazine that Stamos was having a tough time after losing his mother, Loretta.

Stamos now stars in Fox’s new sitcom “Grandfathered” and is filming Netflix’s “Full House” reboot, “Fuller House“, which he’s also executive producing.
