John Williams greets Star Wars musicians outside home

While some celebrities might have a big problem with being disturbed in their own home, Williams graciously came out to greet the two musicians for a chat. If that inspires you to learn the trumpet and go play it outside John Williams’ house, then good on you.

There’s a certain level of gall required to play music outside someone’s house at the best of times, but when it’s the composer of the soundtracks to Star Wars, E.T.

Bryce Hayashi, a 13-year-old trumpeter, and Michael Miller, who plays the lower flugelhorn, parked themselves outside the Los Angeles home of “Star Wars” composer John Williams and regaled the neighborhood with an impressive rendition of the famous theme song.

Williams strolls outside soon after, shakes the pair’s hands and calls their interpretation “fantastic”.

Williams has composed some of the most memorable movie music of all-time, including themes for “Star Wars“, “Jaws”, “Indiana Jones”, “Harry Potter” and “Superman”. He’s been the recipient of countless awards from AFI, the Academy Awards, BAFTA, Emmys, Golden Globes, and Grammys.
