The 30-year-old filed the restraining order in May, accusing Depp of hitting her during a fight at their Los Angeles apartment that month.

Since the news of the couple’s separation, the pair have been entangled in a web of controversy, particularly domestic violence allegations by Heard against Depp. She was among those who came to Johnny’s defence when Amber’s allegations of domestic violence were first made public. Heard’s restraining order against Depp order was also lifted. “Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain”, it says.

There was “never an intent of physical or emotional harm”, it added. Amber Heard has stated that she will be donating the money from the settlement to charity.

Both parties then released a joint statement, drawing a line under what has been one of the most explosive splits in recent Hollywood memory.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor has reportedly agreed to pay his former wife approximately $7 million, and E! It’s interesting that the statement definitely boosts Amber’s image, after she was publicly reamed for filing claims, but doesn’t really do much to clear Depp’s name.

Heard had accused Depp of being physically and emotionally abusive throughout their relationship, which began after they met on the set of the 2011 film “The Rum Diary”.

The announcement comes a day before the pair were due in court to discuss extending Depp’s restraining order. She previously claimed that Depp assaulted her on May 21. According to TMZ, she dismissed the case “with prejudice”, which means that it can not be refiled someday. Depp has two children from a previous relationship with French singer and model Vanessa Paradis. She dismissed the case with prejudice meaning she can’t ever re-file it.
