Actress Amber Heard is reportedly filing for divorce from Johnny Depp just two days after his mother passed away.

According to the divorce papers, Heard and Depp separated on May 22, two days after Betty Sue Palmer, Depp’s mother, died in Los Angeles from a “long illness” at the age of 81, reports ET.
The actress, 30, cited irreconcilable differences when she filed the petition on Monday, according to TMZ.

TMZ reported: “The tension was palpable”.
The actors have been embroiled in a dispute with Australia’s deputy prime minister, who past year threatened to euthanize their dogs, Boo and Pistol, after they were illegally smuggled into the country.
In Australia last month, Heard admitted falsifying her immigration arrival card and was placed on a A$1,000 (S$990) one-month good-behaviour bond. The star is said to be worth around $400million.

Johnny has been doing a lot of publicity lately for his new film “Alice Through the Looking Glass”, which comes out in the United States on Friday (27.05.16), and has been shooting the new “Pirates of the Caribbean” film this year.
They have recently been embroiled in a legal case in Australia after Heard took two dogs into the country illegally.
When Heard went old Hollywood glamour in a thigh-baring golden gown at the 2016 Met Gala in New York City, her engagement diamond was not among the bevy of rings adorning her fingers.
Representatives for Depp or Heard could not immediately be reached for comment.

The last time Johnny and Amber were seen together was during that hellishly awkward apology video they were forced to film by the Australian government.
