Depp and Heard are now undergoing a divorce after images surfaced of Heard with a bruised eye and the news that she was pursuing a restraining order against Depp.
Amber, 30, asked for a temporary restraining order and said in a written declaration to the court that she had “endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse” during their 15-month marriage.
As you might imagine, both posts are filled with heated comments both supportive and critical of Depp.
The mother of his two children and his long-term partner for 16 years Vanessa Paradis said the claims were “outrageous”.
“My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know”, she wrote, alongside a snap of Depp holding her as a baby.
The actress and her lawyer, Samantha Spector, appeared at the Superior Court of California County of Los Angeles on Friday, although the actor was not in attendance. Upon entering, Pennington saw Heard on the couch with her head down as Johnny “screamed” at her. Pennington claims she “begged” Johnny to stop screaming, during which Depp “slapped” Pennington’s hands away and “screamed foul obscenities” at her.
The Rum Diary star filed for divorce from Depp on Monday.
Meanwhile actor Paul Bettany, who worked with Depp on Mordtecai, jumped into the discussion saying, “known Johnny Depp for years and through several relationships”.
Ahead of her court appearance, a representative for Depp said in a statement on Thursday; ‘Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.
Paradis added that she has never witnessed this type of behavior from the Alice Through the Looking Glass star.
In court documents, Heard wrote: “I live in fear that Johnny will return to the residence unannounced to terrorise me, physically and emotionally”.
Johnny Depp’s ex-wife of two years, Lori Anne Allison, also came out and said that Depp is a “soft person”, reports The Telegraph.

In a statement to the UK Sun newspaper over the weekend, Depp’s attorney, Laura Wasser, accused Heard of fabricating the domestic violence claims in order to secure a larger financial settlement in what is expected to be a highly contentious divorce.
