Johnny Manziel Apologizes on Twitter

I’ll so whatever I can to make it right. And that led to an apology and a promise to make things right from the former Heisman Trophy victor, whose National Football League career has been derailed by off-field troubles. No secrets, no hiding, I’m not what you read about. “I’ll be back. In time”, he wrote in the caption. “It can’t end like this…it won’t”, he wrote. “I love you all even though your comments suck”.

The man once known as “Johnny Football” never quite adjusted to the NFL after being drafted in the first round of the 2014 draft. Two agents have cut ties with Manziel after demanding he get a second round of treatment for drug and alcohol use since the 2015 season ended. Wherever you want them. After he pledged to sobriety on July 1, just after returning from vacation at a rental property in Mexico, he was suspended four games for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

In response to a feature written by The Washington Post’s Kent Bebb, Manziel released a statement through his spokeswoman, updating fans on his status. “I’m interested in doing a lot of different things in my life – including football – but, right now, I’m just exploring options and waiting to see what the future holds”.

The 23-year-old former quarterback, has had many issues steering clear of the party scene and was also recently indicted by a Dallas jury for an alleged physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend, model Colleen Crowley.

Manziel also posted a message on Instagram later Monday, assuring fans that his playing career isn’t over yet and he can come back.
