Johnny Manziel back in attendance at Browns facility as Haslam addresses team

This also comes on the heels of Manziel being inactive for Sunday’s game with a concussion after photos of the trouble-magnet quarterback partying in Las Vegas the night before became public.

Haslam told the media that the Browns hadn’t made a decision on Manziel’s future with the team, but that it would be up to the coaches to decide.

On Sunday, Haslam fired coach Mike Pettine and General Manager Ray Farmer, launched a search for their replacements and gave Brown final say on the 53-man roster.

“I would like thank Dee and Jimmy Haslam for the opportunity they granted me to lead the Cleveland Browns as head coach for the past two seasons”. Reporters at the Browns’ facility on Monday said Manziel was present but he was not spotted. Although it seemed that after completing a rehab program past year and then re-joining the Browns for the season he was working at staying out of the negative spotlight, Manziel began to slip again causing him to be benched by Cleveland. The report said that Manziel, who sustained his head injury while rushing for 108 yards December 27 against Kansas City, ate at a restaurant in the casino and sat down at a blackjack table.

Whether you like him or not, Johnny Football or Johnny Cleveland or…Billy is a Cleveland Brown for now.

The club reportedly refused to do so and Manziel ended up putting the tab on his card.

“He is smart, very organized, good at systems and processes and an outstanding team player”, Haslam said. At this point it’s no secret that his days in Cleveland are numbered and he wants to play for the Dallas Cowboys next.

“I don’t know all the details on it. I haven’t been all up on it, but I’ve heard a little bit of it”, James said.

“That will be completely their call”, Haslam said. “I get that people are frustrated, we shouldn’t blow things up, but the owner and the fans are more on the same page than they probably realize”. I just don’t think right now is the time to comment on that.
