Joint practice ends after Redskins, Texans start brawling

The Houston Texans have been in Richmond, Virginia, all week to have joint practices with the Washington Redskins. Eventually, the coaches decided it would be better if Washington and Houston practised separately. These guys get a little….

“I want to see who is going to line up first against him in one-on-ones”, Gruden said.

Washington defensive lineman Chris Baker stated Houston gamers have been upset as a result of “we kicked their butt yesterday in order that they got here out right here making an attempt to be robust guys at present, however it actually did not work”.

Hard Knocks” sure is gonna be interesting this season, especially the bits that focus on the Texans’ joint practice with the Redskins on Saturday.

“My goal is always to create the best athlete possible, so it’s focusing on hand-eye co-ordination”, the 26-year-old Watt, a one-time tight end, said of the drill. Running back Matt Jones, taken in the third round out of the University of Florida, could be a very nice compliment to Alfred Morris.

Then something happened involving Kenny Hilliard.

Fine, whatever. Things like this will happen, so it’s not a big deal, right?

Texans coach Bill O’Brien had a different viewpoint on fights breaking out during joint practices.

It continued for another play before the children settled down.

“It’s intense out there”, O’Brien said.

New team general manager Scott McCloughan seemed to go with a more hard-nosed, blue-collar draft class in 2015. On the team’s second play from inside the ten, Hoyer stood in the pocket and found Jaelen Strong in the end zone. Instead, they gave some empty platitudes about how great it was that the players stood up for one another. With Arian Foster expected to undergo surgery, the Texans are pressured to add a starting running back quickly.

“I haven’t reached my potential yet I am sure, and I hope to find out what that potential is”, he said.

Washington, coming off a 4-12 season, tried to spin it positively, too.

“We thought it was invaluable work [Aug”. To have another team coming in, you can see how good you are or how bad you are. “Not taking nothing from nobody, and I think we did that today”.

Day four was a short practice so the team can get out to the airport to catch a flight to Richmond but it wasn’t without excitement, for lack of a better word.
