Joker Fan Film ‘Injustice For All’ Tops Leto’s
The hype for “Suicide Squad” was real, and it’s paying off. Warner Bros. and DC’s supervillian team-up movie had an impressive debut at about 5 million.

The David Ayer-directed supervillain film is also impressing overseas, where it has amassed $64.6 million in its first three days.
Depending on what numbers you look at, Suicide Squad is either having a really poor opening weekend or a really great one.
The previous record-holder was 2014’s Disney-Marvel smash “Guardians of the Galaxy”, which scored $11.2 million in its Thursday night opening. There’s also rumors of Warner Bros. doing a Harley Quinn spinoff, as well as an exclusive Batman movie, with no release date yet.
Early reports from Variety claim that the movie has made $135.1 million in the USA alone in it’s first three days of business, with an additional $132 million in the territories it’s opened in around the world.

The film is the next in the studio’s DC Extended Universe, its connected line of films based off of DC Comics. Batman V Superman opened to similarly bad reviews and big opening weekend ($166 in March earlier this year), before dropping nearly 70% for the following weekend.
More Fantastic Four than Avengers, Suicide Squad was definitely watchable and had its moments, but an unappealing plot, pacing issues, and underdeveloped characters keep it from being legendary.
The DC movie is expected to make $140 million (£107 million), which would be another win over Deadpool. The film will expand to 17 more markets today for a total of 57 in its opening weekend.
