Bon Jovi spent much of 2014 working with a Toronto-based group to buy the Bills, but Sabres owner Terry Pegula ultimately won out. Perhaps Bon Jovi does maintain interest in owning the club, but won’t actively pursue ownership until at least the Titans go up for sale, should that ever happen.
A report surfaced this week at www.cbssports.com that Bon Jovi would have “considerable interest” in buying the Tennessee Titans if they are put up for sale.
‘I’ve talked to the owners, and I know what they say about selling, and the answer is the team is not for sale, ‘ Underwood told The Associated Press at the time.
Bon Jovi, a past Arena League team owner who is a close friend of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, has increased his visibility in NFL circles in the past decade with the hopes of buying a team.
Interestingly, La Canfora also reported that Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, who played his college ball at Tennessee, could be interested in joining the Titans “in a front office and/or minority ownership capacity”.
