“When I don’t have my kids, I don’t really do anything except DJ and work.”

“I was helping someone else and it felt good”, he said.

Such is the plight of Jon Gosselin, the one-time star of TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8, whose life of leisure has dissolved into darkness ever since he got divorced back in 2009 and, you know, stopped being a TV star.

The side job is in addition to Gosselin’s attempts to make it as a DJ.

According to Page Six, the scorned father of eight recently began working as a cook at a TGI Fridays in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He’s done a great job the last couple of months. “Because now someone took a picture of me and sold it to TMZ”.

“I’m not going to work there anymore because now the trust and the teamwork is gone”, he said during an interview with Dallas radio station 103.7.

Friday, Gosselin had DJ-ed for several outlets of the restaurant in the area for various events such as Tap Takeovers and Bartender’s Champion bartending contests. He says the children have not visited the restaurant since he started there. However, the attention that reports have given to the job, has prompted Gosselin to leave the job.

Of course, it’s not surprising that the news that Jon Gosselin took a job at TGI Fridays brought plenty of commentary on social media.

“I only work there two days a week so I just took my paycheck and I would just donate it charity – whatever charitable organization”.
