Jon Stewart Is Still Enjoying Retirement, Pops Up At WWE SummerSlam
Since retiring from the Daily Show a year ago, Jon Stewart has only made sporadic TV appearances.

Stewart was about to take a beating from the devilish duo when Big E ran in and hit Gallows with a suplex. He then explained since New Day member Big E, 30, was injured by Luke Gallows, 32, and Karl Anderson, 36, of The Club, Jon would take the Superstar’s place. Stewart distracted the challengers to allow The New Day to continue their title reign.
The New Day lost the match, but they stood tall at the end anyway. But a nice substitute just might be the weird and hilarious emergence of Jon Stewart, hard core professional wrestling fan.
– IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada, 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, Maria Mennounos and Dennis “Mr. Belding” Haskins are all backstage at WWE SummerSlam tonight in Brooklyn. Woods tagged in and did some things against Anderson, hitting him with an impressive flying elbow off the ropes. The feud between these teams is far from over, as the DQ victory won’t sit well with the “winners” of this match, who will want a rematch as soon as possible for another chance to get those belts.
Big E had been out of commission for all of August, but teammates Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were acquitting themselves nicely without him.

BUT! Big E made his triumphant return, running wild on Gallows and Anderson.
