Jon Stewart Says Goodbye on Final “Daily Show”
Interestingly, Stewart’s protégé Stephen Colbert will take over for David Letterman on “The Late Show” in September, who appeared for years as a correspondent on ‘The Daily Show.’.

The host announced months ago that he was restless and ready to move on, much to the disappointment of his fans, many of whom queued for hours in New York to get tickets for the recording.
Stewart, whose handful of extracurricular activities include writing and directing the 2014 drama Rosewater, has kept relatively quiet about his plans, except to say he intends to spend more time with his family. And it only got better from there.
During the bit, Noah popped up behind Stewart measuring the set and desk, at which point the outgoing host asked “Could you give me like, 20 more minutes?”
Hillary Clinton echoed similar sentiments in her tweet, saying, “Missing Jon Stewart already“. There are Milennials out there who admit that they don’t watch the news; they watch Jon Stewart’s take on the news. “We learned from you, by example, how to do a show with intention, how to work with clarity, how to treat people with respect… you were infuriatingly good at your job”. AGoodfellas-inspired sketch highlighted the crew, and featured the film’s director, Martin Scorsese, warning Stewart, “You’ve ripped me off for the last time”.
The second act of the episode, Stewart involved the audience and staff of the show.
Jon Stewart stated his remaining “Every day Present” adios on Thursday with a near-record viewers. The Boss and his core band performed two songs including “Born To Run” at the end of Thursday’s finale.
It hard to imagine late night without Jon Stewart at the helm of “The Daily Show”, especially with the presidential campaigns ramping up, and numerous candidates serving up a steaming pile of material – or what Stewart would call “BULLSHIT!” – on a silver platter. “I think this is going to be one of the most exciting TV tapings ever“.

“Nothing ends”, he said. It’s a pause in the conversation. He added, “This show isn’t ending”.
