Law enforcement are on the lookout for a gunman who shot two people in Chaska.

According to KSTP, the suspected shooter fled on foot, leading to an overnight search in the area.

The search started late Thursday night near 3625 County Road 140. However, they say the shooting was not random and that all of the people involved know each other.

Both shooting victims were taken to Two Twelve Medical Center in Chaska and were later transferred to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

The Chaska School District says on its website all schools with Eastern Carver County are in precautionary lockdown with warning “until further notice” due to the search.

The Jordan Police Department also announced that all Jordan schools, private and public, will have a two-hour delay Friday morning.

Jake Landree, who lives across from Galpin in the 300 block of 2nd Street SW., in Jordan, said a SWAT team and Jordan police were outside the suspect’s home about 5 a.m.

Schools in nearby Jordan were delayed while it was believed Gilpin was in that area.

Jordan police then cautioned the public, “If you see Joshua Gilpin, please do not approach him; instead call 911 immediately”.
