A 15-year-old girl from Auburn, WA, kicked off the first night of blind auditions for the latest season of The Voice by giving everyone a “Fever”.
Following Jordan Smith’s mesmerizing rendition of “Chandelier” by Sia, Adam Levine wasn’t content in merely singing the aspiring star’s praises as an artist. “I’m so excited, thank you”.
“It doesn’t matter what you look like, but it does matter that you love what you do, and you go for your goals and try to reach your dreams”, said Smith.
Adam said he thought Jordan was the most important person that has ever been on this show.
“Dude, I think you are a ray of light”. Twitter started blowing up, and most everyone was praising Smith.
“I had to learn that being different is what made me special”.
He has spent all of his life surrounded by more than just the rolling hills. The reaction prompted Smith to cry and quip, “I don’t know if I’m happy or really scared”. Now that difference might take him far on the NBC music competition.
