Jose Mourinho agrees deal to take charge at Manchester United
The Portuguese boss is reported to have finalised terms with the Old Trafford club and is expected to succeed Louis van Gaal by leading United into the 2016-17 campaign.

Mourinho was dismissed from his role at Chelsea last December after a desperately disappointing start to the club’s Premier League title defense, which left them close to the relegation zone.
However, Sky Sports are reporting that Mourinho has signed a contract with the Premier League’s most-successful club. If you weigh things up there is no better club. If I want to make it, I’ll make it.
Mourinho is not known for throwing caution to the wind but fans will hope that under his leadership United will at least not again be ranked top in the Premier League for the number of backwards passes made as they were under Van Gaal. Them not being in the Champions League is a massive blow, but the fans are waiting for success and he can give it.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who the Portuguese managed at Inter Milan, is one such player and on Thursday signalled a move to Old Trafford could be on the cards.
Asked about a possible deal with United, the current Paris Saint-Germain forward grinned before eventually replying: “Let’s see what happens”.
They are ready to hire Mourinho, a man who watched Ferguson develop a style of management which was ruthless and unrepentant and then copied him.
“One thing I can tell Manchester United fans is that they have got themselves a true victor in all aspects”.
I have very little time for the Dutchman from a football point of view after seeing him up close for two years but he managed to hold onto his dignity in the most hard circumstances. “One of my great qualities is to not hold grudges at anyone regardless of the damage they may have done to me”, said Ronaldo.
As well as early exits from the Champions League and the Europa League, United could also only finish fifth in the Premier League, meaning they will miss out on a place in the lucrative Champions League next season. “You want action, you bring Mourinho”.
