Jose Mourinho will be “eternally respected” by Chelsea fans for his time at the club despite the Portuguese coach beginning a new era as Manchester United manager, according to the Chairman of Chelsea Supporters Trust.

Jose Mourinho is honoured to be taking charge at Old Trafford and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward believes Manchester United now have “the best manager in the game”.
“The figures are huge and some do not seem realistic”, said one agent who deals with Premier League clubs.
“José is quite simply the best manager in the game today”.
Mourinho had always been linked to the job at Old Trafford and was considered the favorite to replace Sir Alex Ferguson when he retired a few years ago, but United went with David Moyes and has since fired him and Van Gaal. Mourinho is also excited by Marcus Rashford’s performances and feels the 18-year-old could be a valuable option.
The Spaniard added: “I only know that his Chelsea, with all the difficulty that comes with it, won the Premier League last season (2014-15 season) with four weeks to spare”.

But the 53-year-old Portuguese supercoach, who has 22 honours to his name, said it was the “mystique” of United that drew him to the challenge of reviving one the world’s biggest football clubs.
Other questions for Mourinho: Will he continue United’s long-held tradition of giving youth a chance, or does he scrap “potential” in search of immediate success?
Former Blues doctor Eva Carneiro is claiming constructive dismissal in a case against Chelsea and has a separate personal legal action against Mourinho for alleged victimisation and discrimination.

Willian also expects Manchester United to be a fearsome outfit under Mourinho, amid reports that he could reunite with the former Chelsea manager at Old Trafford.

United have wasted little time in appointing a successor, with proven victor Mourinho viewed as the flawless man to get them back challenging for the title and Champions League success.
