Jose Mourinho has ‘contempt’ for Antonio Conte row

Conte led Chelsea to the Premier League title a year ago after taking over in 2016 but has never had an easy relationship with the Chelsea hierarchy and is now fully expected to move on.

While Arsenal were well below their best once again, in contrast to their surrender to Nottingham Forest last week, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger will be encouraged that they showed enough spirit to keep Chelsea at bay.

The Italian’s touchline antics appeared to irk the Portuguese as he said something in Conte’s ear after the final whistle.

“No, I think when a person insults another you can expect a response”, he said.

Reports have circulated all season long that Roman Abramovich could replace the Italian at the end of the season, and the Premier League winning manager hasn’t ruled it out, despite insisting that he is happy at the club. “Then, in football, anything can happen and we must be ready”.

As for Conte, should he leave London this summer as is widely reported, he will undoubtedly be linked with a return to the national side as they still seek a replacement for Giampiero Ventura.

“If you anticipate the transfer market you become stronger and you make the other team weak”.

“I’m hearing that the amount is around £20m”.

No less than Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola described Napoli as one of the most exciting teams to watch in Europe right now and they are leading Serie A at the midway point.

Barkley, who joined Chelsea from Everton last week, is still recovering from a hamstring injury that has prevented him from making a competitive appearance this season. If you go to buy Sanchez with a normal price, it’s maybe £80-£90m.

“I think the last pass is missing, the final part to score the goal”.

“I was asked about my passion and you know I was speaking about myself and then the question to the Chelsea manager was that I said he behaved like a clown”, said Mourinho, when asked about Conte’s “demenza senile” comments.

Chelsea’s former youth coach Graham Rix and ex-chief scout Gwyn Williams have denied “all and any allegations of racial or other abuse”.

PSG should expect to win Ligue 1 this season and so that will hardly affect Emery’s future at the club. “But it is the club that decides on the players”.
