Jose Mourinho: Man Utd letter report absurd
Jorge Mendes, Mourinho’s agent, strongly denied the existence of the letter on his website.

Jose Mourinho has written Manchester United a six-page letter explaining his strong desire to manage the club and how he would be willing to adhere to United’s principles.
Will Mourinho come to Old Trafford?
He wrote on www.gestifute.com: “It does not occur to anyone that a coach like Jose Mourinho can write letters to clubs offering their services”. ‘It’s ridiculous and absolutely nonsense’.
The timing might be right because the Red Devils’ current manager, Louis Van Gaal, has struggled to get goals out of his squad, highlighted by a 1-0 loss against Southampton on Saturday.
According to the report, Mourinho used the letter to pledge his commitment to adapting his style of management to the Manchester United.
Mourinho left Stamford Bridge in December after overseeing a disastrous defence of Chelsea’s Premier League title.
As well as two spells at Chelsea, Mourinho has previously bossed Porto, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, at least one member is hoping to see Mourinho, who has long courted the Old Trafford job, be the one to succeed Van Gaal.
Mourinho has now attempted to make himself a leading candidate, by writing to the club, in which he detailed how much he wants the job.
