Paris Saint-Germain superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been rumored to be following Mourinho to United.
“I have a great relationship with Mourinho and we are in contact, but not in the last weeks”.
“Yes I have made my choice”, said Ibrahimovic, who added that he had decided “long ago”.

No confirmation on the fate of the rest of his predecessor’s backroom team has yet been forthcoming, but Mourinho is expected to bring in his own staff. Ibrahimovic joined PSG from AC Milan in 2012. The 34 year old made no attempts to hide that there were other offers in place although he insists that he has made his choice. He also spent three seasons at Inter and two at Juventus.
Mourinho has a remarkable record of success, winning 22 major trophies in four countries, including three Premier League titles with Chelsea and the European Cup twice, with Porto and Internazionale.
Asked if he has spoken to Mourinho in the past week, the 34-year-old frontman said: “I have spoken with him every day since I left Inter Milan”. “Everything is in your head”. It was a bit different at Chelsea with the way he finished there but that will make him doubly determined to make that right and that bodes well for United. “I’m not anxious at all”.
According to the Guardian, Mourinho and his agent Jorge Mendes have been in negotiations with Ed Woodward, United’s executive vice-chairman, throughout the week which culminated in the Portuguese manager inking a deal with the Old Trafford club on Thursday.
