Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that he can understand why rivals Manchester United splashed out a world-record fee to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus.

United manager Jose Mourinho justified Pogba’s fee and accused the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool of lacking the aura to attract eminent players.
“Jose Mourinho hasn’t brought Pogba back to do what Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo do for Real Madrid”, Carragher writes.
The France worldwide midfielder signed a five-year deal with the Red Devils on Monday to return to the club he left four years ago.
But Yeo is famously said to have stood up to the veteran boss after a disagreement about her son’s progress at Man United.
Mourinho reacted joyously when his Inter Milan side knocked defending champions Barcelona out of the Champions League in 2010, tearing across the Camp Nou pitch in celebration. Asked if the player seemed happy to be back in Manchester, Mourinho replied: “I can feel that when I speak with him for the first time”.
Mourinho had earmarked Pogba as one of four key men he wanted to sign this summer, alongside other new boys Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“Juventus have built a good team”, the Bosnian worldwide said.
“That might be the role he plays, but either way I’m looking forward to seeing him”.
“But this group of 23 is a great group and I think in this moment-and I told them this-there is a little bit of frustration for the ones that I have not selected”. The eyes of the world will be watching their every move this season and a successful season in European tournaments is exactly what the Premier League needs if they want to continue to sign world class players.
Speaking to our partner brand Planet Football, Parlour said: “It’s going to be interesting to see where he plays, because how do you get the best out of him?”
Paul Pogba is finally a Manchester United player once again after completing a record breaking transfer from Juventus.
