Jose Mourinho will serve stadium ban

Now we know exactly why: it was because Mourinho freaked the fuck out on the refs.

In his report to the Independent Regulatory Commission he explained the incident in full.

“I don’t want to speak about it because I would have to go deeper and into a dimension of the situation”. After he refused again I asked Mr Sutton to escort him from the room.

Begovic left Stoke to join Chelsea in pre-season, vindicating Hughes’ decision in May to promote Butland, 22, and give him a run of first-team games.

The Blues boss “admitted an FA charge of misconduct regarding his language and/or behaviour towards the match officials in or around the dressing room area” at Upton Park and was fined £40,000 alongside the stadium ban. After he refused again I asked the security officer to escort him from the room.

‘He shouted that you f****** referees are weak…Wenger is right about you…you are f****** weak. “For me, it’s very similar to going to a cinema and somebody tells me ‘you are not allowed to come in’. I travel with them and will be with them until the moment somebody stops me, which is, I think, when I am in the limit of the compound of the stadium”, Mourinho explained.

While a 2-1 win over Dynamo Kyiv has brought a few respite to a battered Chelsea side, Mourinho is aware that the narrative around his team will only change after they find their feet in the league.

‘Maybe I don’t even watch the game, what’s the point if I can’t make decisions.

In this case the expectation is that the match officials and the Premier League match delegate would be on hand to ensure that Mourinho did not break any stadium ban.

“It should be related to something really serious, this ban is connected to words and not violent action”.

When pushed further on the topic, Mourinho’s cheekily suggested that he may keep up to date with the game via Twitter.

“I have sat down with my staff and created extreme scenarios to prepare them for the match and the subs”.

Mourinho is yet to serve a separate suspended one-match stadium ban which he received, alongside a £50,000 fine, for his comments after his side’s 3-1 home defeat to Southampton.

“I think this opens it up to happen more in future”. However, Stoke did defeat Chelsea just over a week ago in League Cup play with a game that ended in a penalty shootout.

As a result, he will not be present at the Britannia Stadium as his players look to build on their win in midweek in the Champions League and get back on track domestically.
