Jose’s early team news for Feyenoord trip

Rashford, who already has a winning goal at Hull and an England U21 hat-trick to his name this season, is yet to start under Mourinho but was sent on at half-time on Saturday with United 2-1 behind against a dominant Manchester City side.

It was a close battle, but City’s majestic first half proved the difference, with De Bruyne opening the scoring and hitting the shot that rebounded off a post for Kelechi Iheanacho to tap home a second.

On the opposite, Manchester City invested in youth talent recruiting Stones and Sané along side Gabriel Jesus from Brazil, as well as signing Pep Guardiola to coach, who is discovering English benches and style of play.

Jose Mourinho was frank in the aftermath of Manchester United’s derby defeat on Saturday, admitting one big error had cost his team victory.

He instead chose to hook the duo at half time, with Marcus Rashford’s introduction creating an immediate impact.

De Bruyne’s opener came directly from a Bailly mistake, with the defender losing an aerial duel to Iheanacho, before the Belgian fired past David de Gea.

‘I trust him completely. I don’t know what happened past year, it’s just a different season.

Asked if players should be anxious for their places, he added: “If you are asking me if some of them are going to play against Feyenoord, then no. He gave us in the second-half what we needed but didn’t get from Micki or Jesse in the first-half”. I made a couple of decisions because I thought the individual qualities of certain players would give me what I wanted.

“I had two or three players in the first half that, if I know what is going to happen, I don’t play them”. Just to decide in relation to what I have and what do I have [to help me decide]?

“I am an energetic player, I can recover balls for the team, I can share my spirit with my team-mates and that’s what I tried to do”. When we see each we speak and sometimes we don’t agree about our opinions.
