You will find Petit and his team overcoming the daunting physical obstacles apart from dealing with betrayals and countless close calls along with several overwhelming odds required to beat the system just to implement their mad plan. The new trailer goes a long way toward getting the heart racing, but this is one film that’s going to have to be experienced on the big screen to appreciate it to its fullest effect.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt may have lost out on a possible Oscar nod when Oliver Stone’s timely drama Snowden bowed out of this year’s awards circuit, but the actor still has a horse in the race, so to speak, with Robert Zemeckis’ upcoming real-life drama, The Walk.
The Walk is based on the true story of French high wire artist Philippe Petite who planned and executed an extremely perilous and illegal wire walk between the World Trade Centre towers in 1974. Zemeckis has brought us movies such as Cast Away, Forrest Gump, and Back To The Future during his career, but The Walk is his first feature since the success of Flight back in 2013.
