Randle met with NFL investigators this summer and again within the past week, and the NFL determined that he violated the league’s personal conduct policy, which will carry consequences.

Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle is reportedly upset with his demotion from the starting lineup and left the Cowboys’ facility abruptly after finding out the news, according to David Moore of the Dallas News. Randle has had a history of getting in trouble with shoplifting as his previous arrest.

Coach Jason Garrett said Thursday that Randle will not play in Week Eight because of the oblique injury he suffered against the Giants last weekend.

Randle is still capable of being an impact player for the Cowboys thanks to his all-around ability.

Charges were dropped in April, but Randle could still be fined or suspended under the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

Randle has 76 carries for 315 yards and four touchdowns through six games this season. McFadden (plus Randle in his two carries and Lucky Whitehead in his new role running jet sweeps) exploited those fully. On the field, Randle was criticized over the offseason for saying DeMarco Murray left “meat on the bone” in rushing for a team-record 1,845 yards past year. He exited the Cowboys facility on Wednesday after receiving the report from the NFL.

While it hasn’t been revealed whether an announcement about Joseph Randle is coming from the league, the Dallas Cowboys rumors floating around the net state that it could be very close.

After an impressive start to his season, Dunbar would be lost to injury, leading the Cowboys to trade for Christine Michael and also claim Rod Smith, both from the Seattle Seahawks.

Granted, McFadden is no spring chicken, but he appears to have a better feel for the game as a starting running back than Randle.
