Josh Allen’s accuracy issues has Twitter aflame over Bills’ first-round QB

Edmunds, the youngest player in the draft, was a beast at Virginia Tech, totaling 108 tackles past year and earning a spot on the ACC’s all-defense first-team.

Yes, they wasted the pick.

The Bills had options once they moved up to No. 7.

It wasn’t a matter of if but instead a matter of when the Buffalo Bills would select a quarterback in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft. This was a major surprise.

Buffalo has to hope Allen can develop more as a passer than he did when he was in college. Whether it’s his poor completion percentage in college, his accuracy issues, or his controversial tweets, many people were tired of Allen. His main criticism comes with his accuracy.

“It’s all about competition, and I know how Bills fans are”, said Teller. He will not be the day one starter and will sit behind AJ McCarron which is needed. This was a time for us to improve and get better.

The Bills also acquired a seventh-round pick, 255th overall, in the trade with Tampa Bay.

With their sixth round pick the Bills took wide receiver Ray Ray McCloud from Clemson.

A big, yet, pleasant surprise came when the Bills traded up to the 16th spot to draft LB Tremaine Edmunds out of Virginia Tech. With one of these teams, Allen would have likely been able to sit on the sidelines for at least a year and work on fixing some of the flaws in his game. He is 19 so he is extremely raw. He’s much farther along in his development as a passer. This pick is an absolute steal for the Bills.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney noted, “Ray-Ray’s going to have to be an impactful guy as a returner and I think he will”.

While Goodwin looks at what the team has to lose, Bills season ticket holder Mya Cappellino, a junior double majoring in strategic communication and journalism and mass communication, looks at everything the Bills could possibly gain from Allen.

Brown, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound defensive end, went 11 picks later to the Cincinnati Bengals. He rolled the dice on Allen, unleashing a firestorm of social media criticism from a segment of the fan base that seemed both exhausted with first-round busts at quarterback and eager for Beane to turn his myriad trades since previous year into tangible hope for a brighter future. They also lost both their second-round picks (53,56) and their third-round pick (65).

Leading up to draft day, there were rumours swirling that general manager Brandon Beane would dangle their 12th overall pick, as well as the 22nd overall pick in order to move into the top six of the draft in order to get a quarterback.
