Duggar, who confessed to his parents about his actions at that time, later professed to be a Christian and went on to serve as the executive director of FRC Action at the Washington, D.C.-based Family Research Council. He was expelled from the organization, and his carreer as a TV-series actor was in question, when the show was cancelled by TLC in July after it became public that Josh had molested five girls, including four of his sisters, when he was 14 and 15. “Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably, for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret”.

“We ask for your continued prayers for our entire family”, his mother said in the latest blogpost. “He has also brought great insult to the values and faith we hold dear”. “In the meantime, we will be offering our love, care and devoted support to [Josh’s wife] Anna and our grandchildren as she also receives counsel and help for her own heart and future”.
