Josh Norman fined for Odell Beckham Jr. incidents, report says

“I’ll be the reason this will be your last game”, Wing recalled the man saying. So for Beckham to say that he felt “threatened” by the Panthers players is more than reasonable.

Wing’s account came just hours before appeals officer James Thrash upheld Beckham’s one-game National Football League suspension for multiple violations of player safety rules in Sunday’s game.

Beckham has been suspended for this Sunday night’s game after picking up three personal fouls during a testy matchup last week with Panthers cornerback Josh Norman.

Norman was fined $26,044 for his role in the confrontations.

Rivera spoke to practice squad player Marcus Ball, who was seen carrying the bat before the game, but the defensive back denied any of the accusations.

In an interview with Gary Myers of the New York Daily News, Irvin said Beckham is indeed the target of physical play and hateful language.

“At numerous times during (Sunday’s) game against the Carolina Panthers, your actions placed a fellow player at unnecessary risk, and clearly did not represent the high standards of sportsmanship expected”, Hanks said in his letter to Beckham. “I wasn’t raised to act like I did the other day”, Beckham said in a statement. If Beckham’s appeal is turned down, the Giants will be without their best offensive option. He added that Beckham and the unidentified player exchanged words, with the second-year Giants receiver several times asking the man why he wasn’t playing. This isn’t about anything that was said or done to me.

“But the fact of the matter is, if you know that, the situation pregame with the baseball bat, and if you know what occurred at the very beginning of the game, you can understand that there was two sides to this and not just one”.

At the end of the day a frustrated Ron Rivera didn’t have a choice whether Carolina players could continue to bring baseball bats on the field before games. According to Manning, Beckham deserves credit for taking the high road and not responding to Norman’s disrespectful comments. But Rivera believes the video clips were benign, and said Ball told him he didn’t threaten Beckham or use anti-gay slurs.

The incident with the Panthers wasn’t the first of the season for Beckham.

“It was something that never happened in any other pre-game”, Wing said.

But he said the exceptions would be former teammates or coaches seeking each other to say hello.
