Josh Norman signs with Washington Redskins

While there is definitely competition from teams like the Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers (who both appear to be front-runners) if the Titans can find a way to get Josh Norman to Nashville, then they could make a strong pitch for the talented cornerback.

Based on the immediate interest in cornerback Josh Norman, the free agent will not be out of work for long.

Josh Norman says he “didn’t see it coming” when the Panthers rescinded their non-exclusive franchise tag on him. He was flown by private jet to Washington by the Redskins and was accompanied by his mother and several family members.

The deal is essentially for two years at $36.5 million guaranteed. “You guys went past year (in reference to Washington)”.

His rise largely came out of nowhere, too, as he played sporadically in his first two years in the league before settling into a regular role in 2014.

Norman’s deal with Washington is for five years and $75 million.

I would be shocked if they pull this move off. However, with the Saints you just never know!

Norman, a four-year veteran, would’ve made just under $14 million if he had signed his franchise tender, but he didn’t because he wanted a huge deal, and he reportedly wasn’t going to show up to camp this summer to broker a new contract. All it took was on trip as a free agent for Norman to become the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL. I got my La Famila with me.

– Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) April 22, 2016 To sign Josh Norman, Saints would have to get creative with contract, as only Chiefs have less cap space than NO, which has $3.44M cap room.

“And for my old teammates that I had, oh my gosh, I’m gonna miss them dearly”, he said shortly after signing his contract. However, the Norman vs. Brown dynamic will not only be a must-watch competition of world-class talent, but will make Week 1 much more of a challenge for the Steelers going on the road for a prime time game in the nation’s capital.

According to multiple media report, the Giants, Jaguars, 49ers, Buccaneers, Redskins and Bears have all inquired about Norman, who contributed 56 tackles, 19 pass breakups, three forced fumbles and four interceptions last season.
