Juan Williams: Kavanaugh Pick ‘May Be Part of a Trump Defense Strategy’

Democrats are likely to confront Kavanaugh with those words when he sits for his confirmation hearing. They warn that Kavanaugh could be part of majority decisions rolling back women’s access to abortion and undoing aspects of the Affordable Care Act. Orrin Hatch of Utah, who called the judge “a very fine man”, and was to confer with Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, the No. 2 Republican, and Sen. “I don’t concede the point that it’s somehow counterproductive to the goal of winning in the midterms to fight like hell to stop Brett Kavanaugh”, Fallon said.

Not everyone was quick to accept the White House explanation of Kavanaugh’s baseball debts paid off by friends, however, with comments on social media questioning the Trump court nominee’s judgement, as well as the official explanation. But their lines of attack have expanded.

Kavanaugh said he has worked as a school tutor for struggling kids. He said the judge noted that he had proposed that Congress impose limits on investigations of sitting presidents.

In selecting Kavanaugh, Trump “has put women’s reproductive rights and vital health care protections… at grave, grave risk”, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told reporters outside the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

Your work and support for President Trump have resulted in the nomination of a second outstanding justice to the court.

Presidents of both major parties have been choosing nominees of similar professional and educational experience for decades because the stakes have risen so high in filling Supreme Court vacancies.
