The women, who have accused Cosby of sexually assaulting them between 1969 and 1992, said Cosby’s statements denying the accusations were false and defamatory. She is not a defendant in the lawsuit against Bill Cosby. While he’s already been accused of raping over 50 women, these charges-brought on by Andrea Constand-marked the first time the comedian has actually been arrested.

But Twitter users responded with a welter of abuse, labelling him a “monster” and accusing him of “horrendous crimes against women”. Acting both as a wife and Cosby’s business manager, she directed her husband’s high-powered attorneys to “get back out in front of this”.
